2022 UCI Road Teams

2022 registration process ends

At the end of the registration procedure, a total of 285 UCI Road Teams, for all categories, are registered for the 2022 season. We would like to thank the National Federations and teams for their involvement in the process.

All UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI WorldTeams and UCI ProTeams, as well as all National Federations registering one or several UCI Women’s Continental Teams or UCI Continental Teams must ensure that their information as well as their riders and Sport Directors are duly published on the UCI website before any event. They must also ensure that the team members have a valid 2022 UCI licence, indicating the correct role and team. In addition, for all UCI events, the teams must only wear the jerseys approved on the UCI DataRide – Teams platform. We invite the teams for which the jersey has not already been validated to get back to the UCI as soon as possible. Should you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact road@uci.ch.

Participation of UCI Continental Teams and UCI Cyclo-cross Professional Teams in UCI ProSeries events
(Article 2.1.005 of the UCI Regulations) after applying the enhanced anti-doping programme for two years, the UCI, and the International Testing Agency (ITA) in charge of the implementation of this programme, have decided to answer positively to the requests of the teams, by reducing the time limit for fulfilling the two conditions for participation in a UCI ProSeries event.
As of now, the UCI Continental Teams and UCI Cyclo-cross Professional Teams will have to proceed with the payment of the contribution and send annexe A-2.2 to road@uci.ch at the latest two months before the date of the event (compared to three previously). As the deadline has been reduced by a month and now corresponds to the regulatory deadlines planned for the invitation of teams by the organisers (art. 1.2.049 of the UCI Regulations), no flexibility will be granted to teams which do not respect this new deadline
The table with the list of teams authorised to participate in UCI ProSeries events is available on the UCI website and will be updated regularly during the year.

Participation rules
(Articles 2.1.005bis and 2.2.001 of the UCI Regulations)
As per article 2.2.001 of the UCI Regulations, “Riders belonging to a team registered with the UCI with the same paying agent or main partner may not compete in the same race except in the case of an individual event.” Likewise, all the affiliated club teams with the same paying agent, team representative or main sponsor as a UCI Team must be declared to the relevant National Federation. We invite all the National Federations which have not yet informed the UCI to do so as soon as possible by contacting road@uci.ch. We kindly ask that National Federations inform the UCI immediately of any changes during the year.

Finally, in order to benefit from the participation rule mentioned in article 2.1.005bis of the UCI Regulations for the development teams of a UCI WorldTeam or UCI ProTeam, teams must be managed by the same paying agent, with a common identity (see articles 2.15.242-243 and 2.16.055-056). The list of teams concerned by the provisions of articles 2.1.005bis and/or 2.2.001 of the UCI Regulations for the 2022 season is available on the UCI website.
