Time trial(21km)
41st Asian Road Championships started on March 25, 2022 in Dushanbe - TAJIKISTAN. Team Time Trial (TTT) was the first race among tight racing schedule. IRAN National Team with Mir Samad POURSEYEDI, Behnam ARIYAN, Mohammad Esmaeil CHAICHI and Mohammad GANJKHANLOU started the race. In spite of Mechanical problems in Mohammad GANJKHANLOU's Bike the team could not reveal 100% potential. They were 1 minute 58 Seconds behind Kazakhstan Team which consists of 4 experienced riders like FEDEROV, CHZHAN, GIDICH and NATAROV. Iran team recorded 43.775 km/h and spent 28 minutes and 47 seconds which was not enough to take Kazakhs with average 46.986 km/h. Mongolia had outstanding performance they were 1 minute and five seconds behind the first team. They spent 27 minutes and 54 seconds to finish 21 Km. Uzbekistan one of the hopes of podium recorded 02:14 behind Kazakhstan and placed fourth. Indonesia, Iraq and India took 5. 6 and 7th ranks respectively. There were only 4 teams participant in the Ladies TTT (WE): Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran and Vietnam. The route was 24 Km and Uzbekistan with KUSKOVA, ABDULLAEVA, MISYURINA and KULIKOVA recorded 32:15 withaverage speed of 44.651 km/h. Yannina KUSKOVA who won Two 1.2 Road Races in Turkey last week and her teammates consisted a marvelous 4 to take Gold medal. Kazkhstan was only 9 seconds behind the Uzbeks. Iran National Team with Somayeh YAZDANI, Sajedeh SIYAHIAN, Mandana DEHGHAN and Reyhane KHATOONI took their first ever TTT Medal. They recorded 34:17 which was 2 minutes and 2 seconds behind Gold Medlalists but Their Average speed 42.003 km/h was enough to take Vietnamese Team which placed 4th.
