Death of Vincent Jacquet, Director of International Relations and the UCI World Cycling Centre

New Changes on UCI important Commissions

On 30 March 2022, we lost our dear friend and colleague Vincent Jacquet. As Director of International Relations and the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC), Vincent was devoted to developing our sport worldwide.

Vincent dedicated his life to sport and fully understood its positive power on society. Since 2019, Vincent had been a central figure at the UCI, unanimously appreciated both by our National Federations and by all the stakeholders with whom he was in contact. He was known and recognised by all, and admired for his professionalism and his human qualities. He also headed the UCI WCC, which he developed into a reference point and model for the entire cycling family, as well as for the Olympic movement. A temporary organisation of the International Relations, Cycling for All and UCI WCC Management departments has been put in place. Jacques Landry was appointed as interim Director of the UCI WCC. In this position, he will take over the tasks related to the operation of the Centre, in addition to his duties as Head of Development and Training.
If you have any questions regarding International Relations, please contact Nathalie Clerc, International Relations Manager. She and her team will continue to develop and maintain excellent contacts with the National Federations and Continental Confederations and oversee the UCI Solidarity Programme projects. Finally, regarding Cycling for All, sustainability, and the UCI Bike City Label, Isabella Burczak will continue to carry out the responsibilities of her position with her team.
